BO252503K20M 20 Meter Active Optical High Performance Cables have a flame-retardant LSZH fiber jacket (Halogen-free, low smoke generation in case of fire). Versatile applications Compared to Direct Attach Twinaxial Cable solutions (DAC), the hot-pluggable capable Active Optical Cables are more flexible and lighter. The QSFP connectors have a built-in E/O and O/E converter, which converts the electrical signal into an optical signal. This signal is converted back into an electrical signal and output at the other end of the Active Optical Cable. The QSFP transceiver connections of each BO252503K20M 20 Meter Active Optical Cable are manufactured according to MSA standards considering the SFF-8436 and IEEE 802.3ba specifications. Active Optical Cables have a better performance, a smaller bend radius, and a lower diameter compared to Direct Attach Twinaxial Cable solutions. With the help of the digital diagnostics function, compliant with MSA SFF-8472, BO252503K20M 20 Meter Active Optical Cables can output the following information in real-time: Power supply, Laser idle current, Laser output power, Laser input power, and Temperature.
