With the Deep Silence 5 Rev. B, we present a slightly revised version of our popular Big Tower from the next generation of Silent PC cases. Our Deep Silence series has already received more than 150 awards from the international trade press. The innovative concept and extraordinary quality equally excite both professionals and enthusiasts. Based on the feedback from our customers, our design team has developed meaningful optimizations during the product development, which can be found in the present revision. A special innovation is the newly developed 6 x 2.5 mounting frame for space-saving installation of up to six HDD/SSD. The huge tower also offers a generous space and modular HDD cages in the current revision. This allows for the installation of extensive gaming systems with oversized graphics cards and high-end CPU coolers. Alternatively, compact water cooling systems can be easily accommodated in the big tower. B features two foam-insulated doors. Behind the upper cover are four external 5.25 slots, a 2-channel fan controller with sliders, and the reset button. Behind the second door, two quiet 140 mm Deep Silence fans are pre-installed in practical Easy Access Fan Trays. Integrated magnets in the doors ensure a solid closure and easy opening. On the front of the case cover is the I/O panel. In addition to the green illuminated power button, there are 2 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0, as well as mic and audio connections. Corresponding hardware can thus be quickly and easily connected. E-ATX or XL motherboards can be installed in the Deep Silence 5 Rev. B, as well as smaller formats (ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX). The Deep Silence 5 also offers particularly ample space for your demanding projects even in the new revision. Due to the modular hard drive cages, the case offers maximum variability and compatibility, both for water cooling projects as well as for the installation of high-end systems with air cooling. Almost silent The guiding principle in the development of our case series has always been the requirement to develop as quiet cases as possible with the lowest system temperatures. Like all models in our Deep Silence series, special noise-reducing insulation materials are used. The materials used have been specially manufactured according to the requirements of our developers and act against both solid and air sound. The front doors contribute to particularly effective noise insulation through the use of sound-absorbing materials. The hard drives and the power supply are of course decoupled during installation. The case stands on rubberized, decoupling feet - thus vibrations are completely absorbed. By using the highest quality materials, not only optimal noise insulation is ensured, but also extreme stability of the case. Three pre-installed 140 mm fans from the Deep Silence series contribute to the quietness of the Deep Silence 5 Rev. B. The fan series has been developed to achieve the best possible balance between cooling performance and noise development. Two VentCover in the lid close the fan openings for 120/140 mm and allow the user to choose between improved system cooling by installing additional case fans or achieving the best possible noise insulation. Intelligent ventilation system Three 140 mm Deep Silence fans (max. 1,100 RPM) are already pre-installed in the Deep Silence 5 Rev. B. In the front of the case, two fans are mounted in special, pivotable brackets, allowing for extremely easy removal of the fans and the simplest access to the standard dust filters. Another 140 mm fan can be found at the rear of the case. In total, up to six fans can be accommodated in the big tower. Besides the already mentioned pre-installed models, 120 or 140 mm case fans can optionally be mounted both under the case lid and at the bottom. Corresponding dust filters protect the hardware from the intrusion of dust particles. Thanks to the standard fan control for up to six fans, an individual compromise can be achieved between low system temperatures and minimal noise development even with full fan configuration. Watercooling Ready Like all cases in the Deep Silence series, the Deep Silence 5 in Revision B is ideally prepared for the installation of water cooling systems. Thanks to the modular HDD cages, 120 or 240 mm radiators can be conveniently installed behind the case front. Due to the generous space available, radiators can usually be operated in push-pull mode with fans on both sides without any problems. In addition, a compact water cooling system with 240 or 280 mm slim radiators can be installed under the case lid if required. On the rear side of the case, there are four rubberized tubing grommets for external water cooling solutions. Diverse features The Deep Silence 5 stands out even in Revision B with a variety of highly practical product features: One example is the fan installation - behind the lower door are bracket frames equipped with dust filters, each accommodating a 140 mm fan. A short press on the bracket frame - which works on the push-pin principle - releases the anchoring, allowing the flap to open, and the fan and dust filter can be removed and cleaned. Optical drives can of course be installed tool-free. Included is a 5.25 to 3.5 adapter to facilitate the installation of, for example, a card reader. If needed, this can also be used for the installation of an additional hard drive. In the Deep Silence 5 Rev. B, up to 14 hard drives can be installed decoupled. Three modular HDD cages are available. Two of them are designed for three 2.5 or 3.5 storage devices each, while the third cage holds a maximum of five 2.5/3.5 HDD/SSD. To install radiators behind the case front or to accommodate particularly long VGA cards, the HDD cages can be removed with little effort. The hard drive capacity of the Deep Silence 5 Rev. B can also be expanded by purchasing additional HDD cages. Due to this outstanding variability, the installation of oversized graphics cards with a length of up to 468 mm is possible. With fully installed HDD cages, the maximum VGA card length is 338 mm. By omitting unnecessary hard drive cages, the cooling of the VGA cards can be more effectively supported by the front-mounted fans. A special highlight of the Deep Silence 5 Rev. B is the newly developed 2.5 mounting frame for up to six drives. This allows the space-saving installation of up to six 2.5 HDD/SSD. The mounting frame takes up three 3.5 slots for installation. If you do not wish to use this unique feature, you will find enough 3.5 mounting trays in the package to utilize the slots for corresponding drives. In addition to high-end graphics cards, all current CPU coolers can be easily accommodated. On the rear side of the case, there are ten PCI expansion slots available - thus enabling the installation of a multi-GPU system without any difficulties.
