It supports a data rate of up to 10Gbps on Cat6A (or higher) RJ45 patch cables or via fiber optic. The BLMC011-001 10 Gigabit Media Converter uses Auto-Negotiation to automatically detect the speed of the copper port and performs data rate conversion to the respective bandwidth, automatically detects which fiber optic SFP+ transceiver is used, and adjusts accordingly.
