Another special feature of Brother laser devices is that the original Brother toner cartridges are not permanently installed with the respective drum. The reason for this is that the wear parts of the drum have a longer lifespan than the powder in the toner cartridges. With the separate toner/drum system, the drum can thus continue to be used even after the cartridges are empty, and you only need to replace the component that is actually empty or worn out. This way, you can save on printing costs and protect the environment.
