Product Description

The ES-1008P V2 is an 8 PoE+ Port Fast Ethernet switch designed for use in small to medium networks. Using eight DIP switches, PoE connections can be manually controlled via on/off switching, extending the PoE delivery distance up to 200 meters and supporting port-based on/off control for VLAN and QoS. PoE-capable devices such as WLAN access points, network cameras, and IP phones, as well as other Ethernet-compatible devices like computers, printers, and (NAS) are easily connected to the network and powered via the switch. With its compact dimensions and quiet operation, the device is ideal for expanding networks at home or in small businesses.

Automatic Detection of Power over Ethernet (PoE+)
The ES-1008P V2 has eight IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE+)-ports that deliver up to 30 W per port. It converts the electricity standard of 100-240V AC via LAN cables into low voltage electricity of 50 - 57V DC, powering connected network products compliant with the IEEE802.3at standard. The GS-1008P V2 automatically detects PoE and verifies whether the connected device meets the IEEE802.3at or 802.3af standard. If a PoE device is not detected, only network data is transmitted over the LAN cable. This makes the setup and management of network devices like access points quick and easy.

CCTV Mode
With the CCTV function, adjustable via the DIP switches, the ES-1008P V2 is perfectly suited for surveillance networks. The CCTV mode is activated when the DIP switches are set to On and provides multifunctional PoE+ data extension, port isolation, and QoS. When using video surveillance systems for homes, businesses, or institutions, CCTV mode offers better speeds for multicast viewing and simpler installation. When the DIP switches are set back to Off, the ES-1008P V2 immediately switches back to normal operation for general data transmission.
