It supports a data rate of up to 1Gbps with 100 meters link length on Cat5E (or higher) RJ45 patch cables and up to 160km on single-mode fiber. The BLMC003 Gigabit Media Converter enhances the functionality and extends the lifespan of both your existing cabling infrastructure and your network devices when you integrate fiber optics into your network.Versatile options for every needThe BLMC003 Gigabit Media Converter can be used in unmanaged environments for network distances of up to 160km. The BLMC003 Gigabit Media Converter supports duplex or simplex fiber optic SFP transceiver modules for multimode and single-mode fiber applications (FX, SX, LX, LH, EX, ZX, BX). The BLMC003 Gigabit Media Converter employs auto-negotiation and automatically detects whether the speed of the copper port is 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 1G, and performs a data rate conversion to 100 Mbps or Gigabit if the SFP speed of the fiber is different. Additionally, it automatically detects whether a Gigabit or Fast Ethernet fiber SFP transceiver has been deployed and adjusts accordingly.Media converter with a wide range of featuresThe BLMC003 Gigabit Media Converter has various features to enable your project. The BLMC003 Gigabit Media Converter offers features such as link pass-through (the copper Ethernet port mirrors the status of the 1000Base-X media converter port), fiber fault alert (the status of the 1000Base-X receiver is transmitted to the 1000Base-X transmitter, thus informing the partner device connected to the 1000Base-X interface of the media converter of the error), auto-MDIX (Automatic Medium-Dependent Interface Crossover - detects signals on the copper Ethernet interface to determine which cable type is connected (straight-through or crossover) and configures the connection automatically) and a remote loopback function at the 1000Base-X fiber interface.
